For years the art and music of Mr. Scruff has been a delight and an inspiration, and despite it only being fair to give him due mention here, his relevance has surfaced in this project's research. His simple, whimsical style can't fail to bring a style, and he is a master of character creation and narrative. Here are two large galleries of his visual art (flyers & sequential art), and the animated video to one of his catchiest tunes, Get A Move On. But Sweet Smoke has a more straightforward narrative, in which everyone in the world gets a pie in the end. :) There's Honeydew too.
A Camberwell illustration alumnus, Soju Tanaka must be influenced by the aforementioned.
